Joke

I'm just so stressed out.
Nothing is working!
Every time one knot gets untangled suddenly it seems like 20 knots immediately gets formed.
I don't know what the hell is wrong.
My life is seriously a god damned joke.
I've been crying off and on the whole day so far and I'm also fasting so it actually isn't good that I am crying like this.
I don't know.
I just really don't know.
Everything just keeps on getting screwed up.
What the hell?

Weird

Well, I don't really know where to start. My middle brother was in a relationship for almost four years. During that time, I got to know the girlfriend and became very close to her. Even though they are broken up now I still talk to her and occasionally try to plan vacations with her (which never materializes since she lives in a different country now).

And today I met a girl who my brother is casually dating. It is nothing serious whatsoever but she was there in the car when my brother came to pick me up from the bus station. It was weird, to say the least.

Usually, since I am the youngest, I would be all shy and quiet. Not saying anything much, just watching everyone around me. That is how I usually am the first time I meet the girl. And being the youngest and only sister, I have always felt that I have a God given right to dislikes these girls. Until I find a reason to like them.

This time it was so weird, it was the girl who was being all quiet. Even my brother commented on it! And she was trying hard to make conversation with me after a while of being quiet, in an effort to make me like her or open up to her I guess. It was really very weird and surreal. At a point she was even carrying my luggage for me!

This is just weird and I can't stop saying that. Is it because I am older now? I am no longer the 16 year old sister meeting the older girl. Now its more like I am the 23 year old sister meeting the girl who just happens to be younger. So weird!

Hmmm...well, the talk with my brother will be interesting

3. What is your most treasured memory? - I think that would be Sunday brunches with the family when we were all young and still staying together.

4, What is the best gift you ever received as a child? - as a child I can't really remember but as a teenager I think the best present would be my cat.

5. What is the biggest mistake that you have ever made? - Not trusting and believing in myself .

6. 4 words to describe yourself - weird. random. temperamental. funny.

7. What was your highlight or low light of 2008? - Low light would be me leaving a job that I really liked because I couldn't stand being bullied left, right and centre by my extremely bitchy male boss.

8. Favourite film - p/s: I Love You (according to boypren Holly reminds him of me)

9. Tell me one thing I don't know about you - I have extremely sensitive skin, it is really crazy.

Home

The brothers all have gone home.
It's so quiet now.
For the last two days there has been a crazy amount of shouting and screaming (all in good fun) going on.
Oh well, I guess a trip to KL is called for.
Anyways, Danny stayed back.
I hope he doesn't cry when he realizes that his parents have already left.
On a side note, it's gona be really fun bugging him!

Smiley Faces

It's the weekend and my brothers are home! And Danny came along as well. I can't wait for him to wake up so that I can start disturbing him and snapping more shots of him. This photo was taken the last time he came to visit. I really need to charge the camera's battery.

It really is a good time for them to come visit, almost everyone at home was feeling a bit down. Plus today is the first day of Ramadhan, a month very sacred to Muslims all over the world. So today, everyone has a smile on their faces.

p/s: Happy Ramadhan to Muslims around the world. And happy weekend loves!

Put Your Drinks Up!

hey chickadees! erm...I seriously do not know where that came from.

Thanks for all your comments yesterday, I read it all and feel that you guys are probably right. Maybe all this stuff not working out will give way to something better and more extraordinary. At least I hope so.

So for now I'm dealing with things by alternating between sleeping, eating like a lil piggy and dancing like a lunatic in my room. Thankfully no one is bugging me about the music being too loud. Check out this song. It's so damn catchy!

So yeah I am trying to reset myself, which I am hoping will work.

Cosmic Power?

I am really really frustrated. Every single thing that I plan is not working out. It is just not happening. There is always some sort of problem in the way making things difficult for me. What the hell is happening? Is it some sort of cosmic power that is out for revenge? What have I done that is so bad that none of my plans are working out? NONE. It is either my parents aren't happy about it, brothers say no, no financial support, the timing is just crap, flu outbreaks, etc. I am just inches away from littering this post with swear words. Yes I am that frustrated. The worst part is that this is not the first time that things are not working out. I just want to scream at the top of my lungs and bury myself under my covers, preferably waking up somewhere next year. How does that plan of action sound?

What I did today...

I have a beaded necklace which I bought from when I was about 14 years old. At that time my obsession with accessories just started and I hadn't had my ears pierced yet so I used to buy necklaces and one of my fav stores to buy things was at East India Co. Clothes (oddly enough I can't seem to find their official website).

Anyways, this particular necklace I loved but never ever wore it out even once because it never used to sit right and I promptly forgot about it. A few weeks ago I was cleaning out my drawers and accessories box and I found it. Instead of using it as a necklace I decided to convert it into a hairband. I bought white elastic and attached it to the ends after removing the clasps. I'm keeping the clasps just in case I change my mind later on.

~the necklace~

~as a hairband~

My stitching is really extremely bad. If my Home Economics teacher ever saw it, she would probably faint! Back in secondary school (high school) I used to be quite good with a needle and thread. I couldn't sew big things like dresses but I could pretty much do embroidery. Oh, how the times have changed!

So yeah, tell me what you guys think. Love it or hate it? Now on to being totally vain, I really like the colour of my hair in the picture! ahaahahaha

Step Up 2 The Streets

It has been a pretty standard, lazy weekend and to kill time I was overloading on TV. I watched 'Step Up 2: The Streets'. I love all kinds of teen flicks especially those that involve dance. My favourite so far is 'Save the Last Dance' with Julia Stiles. Anyways, check out this clip of the final dance-off; I love the step where the guy pumps(so to speak) the girls heart . I would kill to be able to break it down like that.

Mailbox love!

Look what I received in the mail today-my belt and two shimmery leggings (black and grey) from an online blogshop Impulse Grabs! and I love them. I am so excited and can't wait for an occasion to wear them out. Oh yeah and I added a cheap pair of black leggings to the bunch, all of them ankle length. Excitement is me!

I'll Put A Spell On You

How many of you believe in magic? I don't mean like...actually I am not quite sure what I mean. All I know is that in the creation of this world God created good and evil; white and back. And in between all this there are us, people- the shades of grey. And supposedly how we define ourselves, in which shade of grey, defines us as how good we are spiritually as human beings. The lighter the grey, the more pure of heart we are supposedly.

For us Asians the concept if magic and black magic is not foreign, but the belief of it is completely individual. Now don't get me wrong, I am not talking about the 'Harry Potter' kind of magic, I am talking about putting certain ingredients together at a particular time and chanting incantations or prayers while doing it. More like the movie 'Practical Magic' if you need a better picture.

Those kinds of magic are usually practiced and then made into tools of trade by many. And it is these people who dabble in the black part of magic. Black magic is always and always used for evil and malicious intents and purposes even personal gain. This type of magic is usually attained by worshipping certain gods, figures even spirits; all that have evil and maliciousness in them.

The thing is with this kind of black magic that it is believed to be able to travel by any means even air to attack the intended person. If a person is jealous of your good looks, they might ask the practitioner to make you ill or even ugly. If you are successful they might get some oils or food enchanted and put it at your place of business or make you eat it.

All my life I have been basically hearing stories about so-and-so being in this kind of situations. I do not know if I believe in this thing. When I was younger, I did believe in that maybe there is really black magic. But when I was told the stories I was never told the cures and how those people obtained it. Sure they did whatever that was possible in the boundaries of the respective religions, especially when it came to Islam.

The thing is that as I grew older and these kind of discussions (old ladies gossip) took place in front of me without hesitation, I started realizing that all those people were never really cured. Their problems still persisted; it may have shrunk smaller but it was still there. So I don't really know what to say or what to believe.

Although one thing that I do believe in is the evil eye. This is when a person gives you an exceedingly sweet compliment from her mouth but their hearts are mean spirited and filled with ill feelings for you. The outcome is that a small misfortune will befall on you. Something small like you break the heels on your favourite pair of shoes, you get the flu, fall down and things like that.

It may be completely ridiculous that I believe in it but it has happened enough times to me. My grandma who is completely superstitious, you know the type that doesn't keep black cats and makes sure no one breaks a mirror, refuses to go out to functions now because she is afraid of the evil eye. Quite ridiculous and I do make fun of her (what? she is my grandma!).

And again, my mom was telling me about some black magic vodoo thing and we got into an argument. I don't know, I mean maybe there is such thing as black magic but I don't think that that is the only reason that people misbehave or say even cheat on their spouses. There must have been intents or even thoughts of temptation for those people who end up going astray. What I can mean is that maybe it's not really the magic that is completely doing it all on its own. You get what I mean? Cause I think I am even confusing myself. Hmmmm.....anyways what do you say? Do you believe in magic, regardless good or bad?

p/s: dayumn this is a long post! lol

Wedding

Well, still without much to say and the mood to say anything much. Took this shots at the wedding where I was melting. I only took five shots before I realised I was too tired to carry up the camera to snap anything. Seriously. It's not so good but, again, at least it's something.

p/s: happy weekend

Black & White

Hey guys, I'm back in the clogged ditch today. Not much to say; not in the the mood to say much. These are a few shots that I took the last time when Danny was still in Penang. These are not great shots but it's still something I guess.

You Sexy Beast You!

The people who know me personally in real life know that I seriously do not think of myself as sexy. I am the sporty chic next door who is essentially one of the guys! I've been tagged by the gorgeous Micaela to list 5 things that I think are sexy.

Rules of the tag: Write 5 things that make you feel sexy and post a pic if you dare. Pass it on to 5 sexy bloggers!

So, here goes nothing!

1. Obvious innit? ;)
But seriously he really does make me feel sexy, and shy at the same time especially when he can't let me go.
2. Beautifully made sexy stilettos.
3. Luxurious bed-sheets and matching comforters.
4. Anything silk.
5. Dancing!

So now on to the tagging, on the risk of sounding incredibly lazy I'm tagging everyone who reads this post! Yes, even if you are a guy. Just do it! This is because I know that there are so many of you out there who are sexy beasts!

Let me know if you participate in the tag because I would love love love to read it.

Earrings

I was just browsing through the Neiman Marcus site (something I should really really stop doing) and spotted these lovely treasure. I'm one of those girls who has all sorts of earrings and spends a lot of money on good quality fakes. And I love these Indian inspired earrings from the site and all I wants them all! These are my favorites though (I have a slight partiality to the turquoise stones, I don't know why).

Garf, you live in India right? Mail me some of these babies will you? *Evil laugh*
