First of all I'd like to thank each and everyone of you who took the time to wish me a happy birthday on Friday. It really means a whole lot to me. So thank you lovies!

Now I know most of y'all are curious as to why I was upset with turning 24; quarter life crisis happens only at 25. I was basically having a quarter life crisis at 24. I mean everyone has their own goals and deadlines; so did I.

At 24 I was supposed to have already finished my Masters.
At 24 I was supposed to have experience living abroad for a year.
At 24 the family should have been out of financial difficulties.
At 24 the family drama should have come to an end.

But the reality is;
at 24 I have only finished one semester of my Masters program;
at 24 I do not have the experience of living abroad, being on my own;
at 24 I am still facing the same financial difficulties;
at 24 the family drama has no hint of calming down

I try not to make this tiny space of mine a place to vent about all the (lack of a better word) drama that is happening. I know this is a personal blog and I only post things up that have a direct correlation to me and only me. I don't think that it is 'cool' to be airing family crap anywhere much less the internet. So that bit stays with me. And no matter what happens, I will always love my family.

Anyways on to the 'early quarter life crisis', I know that I have a whole lot to be thankful for; supportive brothers and amazing friends. But for someone who sets goals and thrives on achieving it, I feel like a total failure. So I am taking these few days(Sunday happens to be the last day) to wallow in self pity and misery before going back to normal and thanking God for all He has given me, regardless good or bad.

So for now, I am not setting any goals and am going with the flow. Hopefully things work out for the best. For you, me and everyone in the world. Like I keep saying, to myself and my brother, all the hardships we go through will be rewarded in one way or another. God is fair and just, no matter what religion you believe in.

And this is the end of my self pity and miserable post. I hope I didn't drag your spirits down. We all have to keep believing that things will work out for the best. I really need to believe that things will work out for the best.

Once again thanks for the birthday wishes lovies!
Thank you so much!
Y'all made me feel very special indeed!
Next post shall be about birthday goodness, I promise ;)

Everyone has their own animal; some love owls, tigers, snakes. This may (or may not) come as a shocker but my ultimate animal is the peacock. For some strange reason I love it. It is beautiful, has grace, poise and is alive with such deep and vibrant colours. Of course the peacock is also associated with 'pride'. And pride is never a good thing.

My love for peacocks started probably as a lil' girl; my middle brother went to the zoo as a kid and he bought for my mom the feathers of the peacock sold there. She kept them in a vase and I used to look, touch and stroke it all the time. I could never understand how the peacock had such beautiful colours on its body. As a child, that is pretty heavy stuff to think about. Mind boggling I tells ya!

So you can't imagine the excitement I felt when I chanced upon Diva in the mall and saw the peacock collection! Gorgeous! Unfortunately I can't save the pictures and post my favourite items over here but do check out the line (I am not getting paid anything for this post. This post is borne truly out of my love for peacocks and how much I feel that it is my animal). Although quite pricey, I think I know what I will be blowing my money on! I did think of asking SoulSista to get it for me from Australia (since Diva is an Australian product) but after the conversion the difference is pretty tiny.

I promise to show it once I get around to buying it!

Hey guys,
I'm back!!
And check out my new babies...

This one is called 'Goldie'....

...and this one is called 'Shiny'.

Why yes, I do name my shoes...
So how do you like them?
I love my shiny shoes so much!
I could barely take my eyes off of them in the store.
I kept stroking it and going 'so shiny' (very Gollum-esque!).
I got the results (for the first sem of my Masters) and it was pretty decent, I do say so myself, so my brother got me these lil' puppies as a present (my brother's friend who was there with us, called Shiny 'porn star shoes'!)!
Obviously, happiness is me!
Even happier was the fact that both 'em shoes were on sale.

Anyways I remember this honest scrap award post that I did and I told you all about the shoe biting bit, you know to avoid blisters.
Most of you all wanted pictures/videos; because if there ain't proof, it never happened.
So yesterday after coming home I made a video of me biting the shoes.
Thanks to my middle brother who did the recording without shaking or laughing at me.
I took the video in one shot, without scripting it or anything like that.
So forgive me for looking tired (it was already 12.30am by then), the messy room and sounding, quite possibly, a wee bit confused!

If any of you are curious how it tasted like, well all I can say is that it tasted like shoe!
After recording this I had a really long shower and most of it was time spent brushing my teeth.
And yes I do realise that not only do I look like a 12 year old, I even sound like one! =s
Anyways, I still have to report back to y'alls about the whole blister bit once I wear these pups out.
I can't wait!!

p/s:This is my first post after finally getting my laptop back! I have really missed you guys and I promise to be a better blogger from here on.
