Look what I got in the mail!!! All the way from Switzerland!! From darling Krystal; part time photographer, part time ninja-girl! ;) (I'm excited, can you tell? LOL) So the reason for this excitement is the fact that the both of us got the package we sent to each other on the same day (we did a swap between ourselves)! How awesome is that? I have never had that happened to me before. The goodies that I received:

A really beautiful scarf and two postcards. Krystal wrote me a note on the girl postcard and I love it so much that it is definitely going up as decorations in my new room (soon!). I loved the scarf so much that I wore it out that night itself.

My new scarf and me? How do we look? ;)

So I wore it out to a lovely (and cheap) dinner with my darling girls. I really miss this bunch, I laughed so hard at so many things just now!

Desserts and my girls=perfection!

I had such a great time talking to my girls! Even though I saw them something like two weeks ago, I really missed them. Fenin will be going back to India next month and then it will be back to just me and Miss Fana. I'm all sad already just thinking about it. Anyways, next on the list would be going to watch Usher live in KL! I know right? It's Usher biatch! LOL But also I can't help but wish that bands like Coldplay, U2, The Killers, The Fray; come and perform in Malaysia. It would be so (for the lack of a better word) kick-ass!

Also tonight, I found out that my two girls are ready for motherhood. I was all calm and happy for them on the outside but on the inside, I was freaking out!! I so can not see myself as someone's mother at this time and age. I mean can you imagine, me having a lil munchkin of my own? Scary thought right there; although I am ready to be a wife. Mother-not so much.

How about you guys?
Anyone ready for marriage/parenthood/or both?

p/s: my mailbox is one happy fat kid! feed it more please! ;)

Today as I was heading back home with my eldest brother, we were talking about his future plans career wise and I couldn't help but think about mine. What is my future going to be? I know that recently most of my posts are about me and my future. But I really can't help it, this blog has become a means of voicing my thoughts and feelings.

Anyways, I was wondering what the future has in store for me. At right this moment I really have zero idea on what I will choose as a career once my Masters is over. What am I good at? Most of the times, I feel like the Jack of all trades and Master of none. Anyone else feeling like that? Because of these feelings, I occasionally get jealous of all my other friends who seem so set and so sure of their future career paths.

And the worst thing of all is the fact that I am so emotional today. I actually teared up watching the finale of 'Australia's Biggest Loser'. What the hell right?!

So that was today folks, me musing about my very uncertain future.
Hope all of you had wonderful weekends.

Hello Goodbye

Hello hello!
Again, I'm so sorry guys if it seems like I keep disappearing for short moments at times. I seriously have no clue where my time is going. I honestly can't keep up with all the blogs that I am following. I have also noticed that I have a few new followers (Welcome lovies!!) but I just don't seem to have the time to check your blogs out. I am really really sorry guys! Seriously, for some strange reason I find myself struggling! I hope to be able to sort this out soon, I really miss you guys. You all have become part of my life. You all have become my friends.

Anyways, I participated in a giveaway from Rhianne's blog 'For the easily distracted' and I won a wonderful 35mm panoramic toy camera. I love it so much already; now, only to figure out how to use it properly! LOL Anyways be sure to join Rhianne's 'It's a Photoswap 2010'. It's a wonderful little endeavor that gives all of us an opportunity to be creative and have fun with our 35mm and 120mm film cameras.

Turns out that Rhianne was also my Book Swap partner and she sent me this little treasure with a sweet message inside. I'm not sharing the message, I'm selfish like that! ;)

So anyways, this next bit is going to be a bit random. While randomly looking at things in a local pharmacy I happened upon this. Limited edition M&M's that were orange flavoured! I, for one, am one of those people who think that the flavours chocolate and orange go extremely well together (the best to date is the orange milk chocolate Swiss Lindt). So I just had to try this and I LOVED it! Just the right amount of orange. It even smelled liked sweet oranges. yummm. Talking about it makes me want to get more! I hope that they start producing it in mass!! yummmmmm~

Anyways, time to go now. For until the world cup is over, the background music in my brother's place is nonstop football commentary! So yeah, I'm not personally interested but because of the boys I have to make myself interested! *eye roll*

Thanks for stopping by my loves.
Hope to catch up with you soon!

Hello, hello!
I am finally back from my one week vacation with my Mom back home in Penang. (Nico, you asked me where do I stay when I am in KL, currently I am living with my brother but soon I'll be moving out and having a place on my own. It'll still be close to my brother but I'll get some privacy! Thank God for that! ;) ) Anyways, I've been tagged by the two wonderful people, Nico and Faiza to answer some questions. I'm supposed to tag people back but I am just way way too tired from my trip to do that right now. So, anyone wanting to play along, please help yourself.

*Faiza's set*
1. What is your favorite topping on toast?
Butter and sugar! yummm

2. What is your favorite quote from someone else?
Oh wow there are so many, but the one that stands out the most would be from a pop song, 4 minutes- Madonna ft JT 'The road to hell is paved with good intentions'.

3. You are about to throw a penny into a wishing well...what do you wish for?
I have no idea. Right now I am at this point in life where I think that everything happens for a reason; that there is a purpose for everything. So maybe I would wish for me to know 'the purpose' behind whatever it is I am experiencing. Make sense? No? Welcome to my mind! LOL

4. Tell me what your favorite song is and why.
Well I have three favourite songs right now. One would be Kelly Clarkson's 'I Want You'; it is such a feel good song it instantly puts a smile on my face! I've even set it as my ring tone on my phone. The second one is 'Are You Lonesome Tonight' by The King for reasons that most of you already know and the third is 'Here we Stand' by Amber Pacific. All three songs, all different genres; the soundtrack to my life!

5. What three things are you grateful for today?
Three things I am grateful for today is music, family and love. I can't imagine my life without any of these elements!

*Nico's set*
A vampire or a wizard (and why)?
Well since this is a question about two make-believe characters, I think I would like to be a wizard (or witch in my case) who is also a vampire! And not those creepy shiny Cullen-type vampire either. I love the sex appeal that comes hand-in-hand when one talks about being a vamp. On the other hand can you just imagine the things one can do with magic (if it was real anyways)? No more getting off the couch to look for the remote(yeap that's my biggest concern, am totally not bothered about the world and the enviroment)! LOL

If you could change one thing about you, what would it be--if anything?
Honestly I am not sure. It could be my height, my voice, even the fact that I wear glasses. But if these things can never be changed, I'm still going to be happy with myself. Wow, I HAVE grown up!

Would you rather live like a rock star or like a president? (in other words: fun or power?)
To totally contradict my grown up statement, I'd rather live like a rock star! They have all the fun and there is enough 'politics' in my life as it is!

What's your favourite cartoon character?
There is this comic strip that runs in the local paper in Malaysia called Baby Blues. For some strange reason I love it! I know it's supposed to be cartoon character; Baby Blues was made into a cartoon a few years ago. It doesn't show in Malaysia but there are some episodes in YouTube. Check it out if you are interested. Although I must warn you, it is totally old school cartoon drawing (think pilot episode of Rugrats animation).

What's your (most) guilty pleasure?
Honestly, it is being narcissistic. Betcha didn't see that one coming! I have moments where I just look at myself in the mirror (when I dress up all nice and pretty) to admire my handiwork.

If you were a song, what would it be?
I think I would be 'So What' by Pink. Yeah, I think that would be it.

What's your biggest dream?
To be happy; plain and simple. Although it would help to have a nice big house, kids running around and a dreamy husband who worships the ground I walk on! LOL

Do you prefer to be the one who asks questions or the one who answers them, and why?
The one who asks obviously! The problem with being the one answering is that sometimes the questions are so subjective that I have no clue how to answer it. And then I look like a complete idiot.

What is your biggest turn off and turn on?
ON-scruffy men, and I don't mean the homeless looking types either. The metrosexual scruffy type. That is the best explanation I can come up with!
OFF- women wearing tights/leggings as pants! I can't stand it at all!

Have you ever broken any laws?
Well, I am shamefully admitting that I have easily collected more that two dozen parking and speeding tickets (cumulatively) in my driving career so far. And I know, that money could've been used on so many better things! I know!

So there you have it boys and girls, I've done my tag! Hopefully I'll be back to blogging regularly soon. And OMG True Blood episode one (season 3) is already out!!

Hey guys,
I'm back in Penang, back home. I just took some time out and went home to regroup and recuperate. And I miss my mom. Haha, I sound like a real child; but it's okay I guess it's normal for everyone to need their mom from time to time. Anyways there isn't proper interwebz connection at home so I'll only be seeing the lot of you once I get back.
I'll miss you lovies!

Do you ever wonder if you are a good investment? You know, that whatever money that has been spent on you is money worth spending. Never wasted. If you've been reading my blog for sometime, I think you know how much I've been wanting a DSLR for sometime now (over two years). Up till now, I have never had enough money to get one by myself. Even now I can't afford it.

However friends are approaching me to take boudoir shots for and of them. Where most photographers in Malaysia are men, it is understandable why they want me to take it for them. The money is definitely lucrative, but...

There is always a "but"...

Who would want to invest in me to start it up? When I say 'start' means to buy the equipment. This is where that question comes to play, am I a good and sound investment? Will I be able to repay those who have invested in me? Before these questions even arose I was so confident that I had talent when it comes to photography but now, not so much. I am so afraid of failing and I have only just thought about it so far. So many thoughts and constraints are taking over my mind and heart.

Although the question is valid: What if I fail? What will my back up plan be then? Will I be able to pay back my 'investors'? What if I can't? What if I am a talentless hack? So many 'What if's'.

It's 5:15 AM
I can't sleep.

Happy Birthday To Me!!

Hello, hello boys and girls! I'm back and out of the birthday funk that I was in a few days ago. But thanks to all of you who related to what I was feeling and who also gave me sweet words of support. The lot of you are the best blogbuddies anyone can ask for!

Anyways, this year my birthday fell on a friday; which also happened to be a public holiday and thus my birthday was on a long weekend! On Friday I woke up pretty early and was just lounging in front of the TV. The best thing ever! I didn't have to do anything or go anywhere. Later in the evening my middle brother took me out for a late birthday lunch and cupcakes.

more cuppies at wondermilk

eldest brother all wet because it was raining super heavily!
my late lunch: grilled cheese sandwich..heaven!
the first birthday present I received this year, from darling Micaela
the goodies I received from her. My eldest brother was reading the card she sent me, stopped half way and asked 'Do girls really write that way to one another?'. LOL
I loved all the goodies she sent me, especially the make-up. It is totally my colours!
Thanks love!

On Saturday, I went for lunch with my girlfriends. I miss times like these so badly! After having chicken rice for lunch we headed back to wondermilk for more cuppies. To be honest I couldn't do it anymore. No more cupcakes for me (I hope I don't piss of the cupcake goddesses!) till the next real craving. I swear the smell of the sweet buttery batter made me want to hurl! I have cupcake-ODed!

my gurlies devouring the cuppies

Once again thank you to everyone who gave me all the blessings and well wishes on the blog and on Facebook. You make me feel like the luckiest girl in the world.
Thank you!
I love you!
