This is how I spent my Saturday:

making Valentines Day Cards for all you lovely lovely people who wanted some love!

(if you don't, please be kind; it was my first time making cards from scratch)

Anyways I'll be posting it out on Monday(including my book for the swap) so some of you might get it really early and some later.

But rest assured, it's in the mail.

The Time Traveler's Wife

So I finally watched it and all I can say is; Good Lord! I hated the movie. Instead of it saying ‘starring Eric Bana’, it really should have been ‘starring Bana’s Buns’(which is how I am going to refer to him from here on now)!

It was choppy, draggy, boring! There was no chemistry whatsoever between Bana’s Buns(which by the way was the only character that wasn’t flat) and Rachel McAdams. Bana’s Buns was missing the charisma that he possessed when he was filming Troy. What the hell happened to him between then and now? Somebody please enlighten me! And is it me or did he look a tad bit weird? Mousey even?

As usual McAdams thrives in this romantic drama genre and she is such a pleasure to watch. Every time she is on screen I was glued to her face and mannerisms. All so real; all so natural. But I did miss the longing that Claire felt; that feeling of loneliness, emptiness, desolation and desperation. It was such a disappointing movie, I just can’t begin to explain.

What would have done this movie good: a narration. A mixed narration (meaning Claire and Henry’s point of views or thoughts) throughout the movie would have served the purpose well. It would have been less choppy.

Oh my god, the music absolutely killed me! It was terrible! The soundtrack in the novel was if I’m not mistaken, old skool rock and punk. And the movie served us with what? A bunch of silences? Seriously, production fail Brad Pitt; PRODUCTION FAIL!

I am so mad I can’t even put my thoughts together! And they excluded so many characters, so many turning points in the movie. Whoever thought that this novel would translate well into a movie deserves a good kick in the rear! Deserves it I tells ya!!

Advice??

Last weekend I went home to Penang to attend a close family friends wedding.

And I met S, who happens to be a close friend of mine from that family.

She is my age (turning 24 this year) and married with two kids.

So when she said to me that she doesn't find sex interesting,

I was flabbergasted!

When I finally caught myself, me being me, said to her:

"After giving birth to two kids, you are telling me sex isn't interesting!"

What can someone like me advice a married young lady, a mother of two, about sex?!

So after years of reading and collecting magazines like Cleo and Vogue,

I basically spouted what all these magazines 'preach':

'Communication is the key'.

I don't know how well this works,

but I hope it does for her!

;)

In an hour

Last Saturday night we (my brothers, sis in law, Danny + me) went to watch Sherlock Holmes on the big screen (will review it soon-ish!!).

After having dinner we had one hour to kill so we decided to go to the arcade for some oldskool fun.

It was awesome!

Unfortunately since I was the camera woman, there are no pictures of myself.

I played House of the Dead III and a few other 'boy' games and had so much fun.

By the way, we spent more or less (I think more than) RM30 on the tokens.

Damn, it has gotten so expensive!

And I realised that Valentines Day is on the way (I know some of y'all might think that it is too early for me to talk about it, but trust me, the decorations are going up, bit by bit in all the malls in Malaysia) and it is the perfect opportunity for it.

Something, Sometimes..

Sometimes I think that maybe I love too much.

and that it is quite possible that these people don't really feel the same way about me.

Or they don't really think about me in the same perspective.

Or could it just be that our priorities are so god damned different?

I don't know.

Right now all I feel is neglect.

Sadness.

Loneliness.

I just want something real.

Something solid.

Something that I can actually hold on to.

Is that asking for too much?

Random Bad Day

I've had a bad day today.

Apparently my petrol gauge isn't working properly,

I was fueling up when it spilled over.

That was like watching money evaporate mind you.

Got a huge scratch at the bottom of my car.

Dropped my phone so badly that it bounced and somehow ended up underneath my car.

I had to go on all fours to fish it out and it was at the roadside might I add.

Banged my car again when I was trying to reverse park it in my parking slot.

I am happy to be alive!

All I want to do now is some light reading and a whole lot of

ZZZZzzzzZZzzzZZzzzZZZzz's!!!

Welcome 2010

Hello boys and girls!

woohoo, my first post on the first day of the first month of the new year!

Love it!

I hope you all had a very very good night yesterday, celebrating and all.

I for one had an interesting and eventful night.

Usually, I would either spend it alone or with a family member watching the fireworks from home; which brings me to my conclusion that celebrating New Years Eve in a dull manor ushers in a dull year for you.

So this year I made impromptu plans with some friends and followed it through.

I had a pretty good night, and looks like my year is not going to be so dull anymore (I hope *fingers crossed*)!

I know they are a whole bunch of posts floating around on the interwebz about new year resolutions, but mine is relatively simple:

HAVE FUN!

We are young only once and we should take full advantage of that.

With that said, we should always be smart about it; no drugs, no alcohol.

Just good clean fun.

Hmm...I sound like I am preaching, but honestly that is what I think.

Anyways,

I think that 2010 is going to be a year of changes.

I can feel it in the winds.

Boypren and I have a lot going on.

Things that can't be discussed as of yet over here since nothing is set in stone,

so we'll see together how things progress.

Studies so far are going well with the exception of me having to read 20 novels in 14 weeks.

It's definitely a challenge and I am up for it!

Bring it on 2010!

Anyways, just wanted to wish each and everyone of you a very Happy New Year.

Hope all your dreams, wishes and resolutions materialize.
